FREQUENTLY ASKED RESTAURANT QUESTIONS

  • Yes. We welcome families, but our location may not always work for large groups. Most of our tables accommodate four people, so we may not be able to seat some families. Tables cannot be combined, and split parties will likely not be seated adjacent to one another.

  • Yes. Built with neighborhood and community in mind, J. Alexander’s is pleased to offer a small selection of wine, beer, and spirit brands, as well as an affordable menu of quality bar food, during our Happy Hours. Check with our front desk staff at (225) 766-8630 or ask your server in the restaurant about the times and days of the week we offer happy hour drinks and food.

  • Yes. If you’re in the Baton Rouge area and looking for a steakhouse where you (or your vegetarian/vegan friends) won’t starve, J. Alexander’s has you covered. While we are a steakhouse, we don’t want any guest to have to cobble together their meal. That’s why we always keep several vegetarian dishes on the menu. Currently, a Veggie Burger made in-house, topped with Monterey Jack. Also, guests are welcomed to request substitutions to fit their dietary needs.

  • Yes. Proper attire is required. In general, we ask guests to wear business casual clothing, which means dressing professionally, looking relaxed, yet neat and pulled together.

  • Yes. The Baton Rouge J. Alexander’s has ample on-site parking directly beside the restaurant.
